Our Story

Milburn Farmstead was founded in 2024 by Stephen and Tierra Milburn. Stephen is a 5th generation farmer in Cecil County, MD. Farming is in Stephen’s blood, a craft passed down through more than a century of working the land and understanding the rhythms of the seasons. In 2023, Stephen and Tierra turned their focus toward a long-held dream, dedicating themselves to a way of farming that truly spoke to their hearts. They envisioned a farmstead that didn't just yield a harvest, but actively healed the ground it stood upon. Within a year, Milburn Farmstead was born. 

Milburn Farmstead is a highly intentional and regenerative farm operation where quality outweighs quantity. We believe that farming with intention allows for a level of stewardship that industrial operations simply cannot match. By focusing our energy on regenerative practices and working with nature, we ensure that every animal is raised with dignity and every hive is managed with care.

We specialize in pasture-raised poultry and hogs, and artisanal bee products, all managed through regenerative farming practices. For us, regenerative isn't a buzzword, it is a promise.

Rotational Grazing: Our livestock move frequently to fresh pasture, naturally fertilizing the soil while enjoying a diverse, species-appropriate diet.

Biodiversity: By integrating poultry, hogs, berries, and honeybees, we create a closed-loop ecosystem where each species supports the health of the other. 

Soil Health: Everything we do starts beneath our feet. Healthy soil creates nutrient-dense forage, which results in cleaner, more flavorful food for your table.
